The mixed media with oil piece “Onward” by Kirsten K (2025) is otherworldly and plays with sense of scale. Is he looking ahead or behind the dragonfly that is so much larger than him? What does the butterfly whisper to him? The juxtaposition of strength from the rhino and delicate wings of the butterfly are meant to speak of coexistence and unity. Onward we must march with time!
